I teach in a wonderful Title 1 neighborhood school that is full of diversity. My classroom consists of 22 students that includes regular, special education, and English language learners. These students have diverse gifts, educational needs, backgrounds, languages, and goals. Many of my English language learners have little or limited exposure to English. Regardless of their strengths, weaknesses, and backgrounds, all of my students are excited about learning anything and everything! And reading is an important key to their learning. Our school has limited funds to furnish such furniture and supplies for classrooms. My goal is for my students to have easy access to as much literature as possible.
