In March 2020, we had to close schools and go straight to Distance Learning. After finally equipping students in the district with a Chromebook to use from home, we embarked on the journey. You realize that kids are lacking basic materials, such as paper to write on. I would like to put a package together for each student to help deal with this stressful time. These tools will help all of my students. I used a whiteboard all the time on Google Meets and I know in regular class we are always using them. If I could guarantee each student at least a whiteboard and a few dry erase markers, it would be extremely helpful. In math, it is essential to show your work, especially in grade 5. This will be a useful tool! I would love to put together something to help the social-emotional toll it is taking on the kids. Teachers Pay Teachers has many excellent resources for SEL (Social Emotional Learning) to help ease anxiety.
