If we teach our children music, we teach them the only universal language spoken all over the world. I am entering my second year as an educator. Last year I was hired to begin a choral music program in a school with no musical program and no musical supplies. I submitted a proposal to develop and expand an actual music program. Administrators, parents, community leaders, and students were impressed with our quick progress. As a result, I found the support I needed to facilitate expansion. A successful music program can reshape the lives and experiences of a child. In our community students are not given the invaluable experience of learning to play a musical instrument or given the exposure to various types of music. If our music program is successfully implemented, we will give our students an opportunity to learn the only language spoken the same all around the world.
