By getting a classroom rug, Students will know what area is best for them to sit in order to participate in whole group instruction given in front of the activ board. They will have a designated place to sit so they will be able to focus better on their academic skills. My students are often asked to sit on the carpet for me and a new classroom rug will help them determine where to sit for maximum interactions. A classroom rug would also designate a space for a small group to work in during center rotations and/or small group activities. A classroom rug will help define learning places.
