This donation of Time For Kids magazines will allow all of the students in my class, regardless of socioeconomic status, to receive a reading resource that they can read and discuss with peers and also take home and share with their families. The classes that have used this resource in the past really enjoy it and it helps keep them excited and interested in reading and current events. They are able to build background knowledge in areas they might not normally read about. Time for Kids is also nonfiction reading, which they will be reading throughout their lives. The online component helps with the reading and understanding of the text. The online version also has a differentiation component, that will fit the needs of all of my students.
