As you enter my classroom, you see a diverse group of students. These kids are English language learners (ELL), high achievers, and everything in between. The students are provided Dell tablets by the district which help to bridge some of these scholastic differences. The tablets are also valuable tools for our intermediate students to become more engaged in their education and integrated into the new technological age. Unfortunately, students are experiencing frustration while trying to complete their assignments on these tablets. Students express that typing or maneuvering on the Dell tablet without keyboards and mice is difficult due to the fact that the on-screen keyboard takes up half of their workspace. These projects would be much easier to complete with the proper electronic accessories.
