In our classroom we have 19 lovely third graders who receive a lot of their education through whole group instruction. To make things more interesting, a lot of the whole group instruction takes place on the carpet. During this instruction various books are read about different topics that we are studying. In our classroom, we are provided with a hard floor that does not lend itself well to structured whole group instruction.
