This project would enable our students to build their economic awareness. The third through fifth grades would be producing and advertising a product after they listen to the book Lemonade For Sale by Stuart J. Murphy. This book would lead to discussions about goods and services. The students would be creating their product to sell. Then they would sell their products to our K-2 population. They would be running a store and keeping track of their profits from the store. After the items sold, students would analyze their sales, profit, and the entire process. The K-2 students would be shopping at the store that is run by the 3rd - 5th graders. Those younger students would be handling play money to pay for a product they want to buy.
