As a Pre-K teacher, I believe that I have an important opportunity to make school a place that is inviting, educational, and fun. Its challenging when our kids have not yet learned English. Learning requires understanding to keep our children engaged. But I have discovered that there are ways for Pre K students to learn that is equal to or better than translation. These students require visual and physical stimulation and that is my focus in the classroom. All students regardless of their native tongue can communicate the fun they are having without realizing that learning has just taken place. Learning is fun but you need a lot of hands on tools to help make that happen...
