I am so lucky and thankful to have a profession that I absolutely LOVE! I teach a 4th/5th grade multi-age, gifted-program class of twenty amazing students; well, really I have 40 because my grade-level team teacher and I collaborate and share kids throughout the day. We are both new to the grade level this year and are so excited to be working hard on aligning the new Common Core Standards with exciting problem-based learning inquiries for all of our units. If you could join our classroom community you would see us using The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Kids to guide our leadership development, using data to support our goals, and you would see lots of collaborative group work and technology integration. I love to make the classroom not feel like a traditional classroom by thinking outside the box. I hope you will help me grow my vision this year for a rich learning environment and creative inquiry lessons.
