The fourth grade classrooms currently have a large primary colored rug that mimics the rugs found in the lower elementary grades. My school is K-4th grade so the fourth graders are encouraged to be the leaders of our school. My students deserve an environment that reflects how they feel inside. I want my students to have a place where they can gather together and share their successes and struggles, knowing they are loved and accepted. They need to feel safe and connected. A new rug will give us a place to focus on building that necessary community. A strong community builds strong learners!
