The use of technology is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in Social Studies. We use videos to try to virtually visit places, people, and things that they would not have the opportunity to. By having tablets, students will be able to visit and research all the cultures, countries, and people we learn about in class. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to further their learning in small groups on what interested them during the lesson. They wouldn't have to wonder what a caravel looks like, they could pull up a video of it. They then could simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or not. Any and all interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!

About my class
