My students are 7th graders and are severely lacking the basic skills in reading. For the most part my students are eager to learn but because they are so far behind in reading skills they are easily discouraged. Our school, in Mississippi, receives Title 1 funding, and some of my student's homes have no access to the technology or resources needed for success. Even though my students face difficulties every day, they are still eager to come to school to get the best education they can in order to be successful in life.
