My students have parents that work very hard to put food on the table and they don’t have extra money to buy technology for their children. The coronavirus has closed schools in our city and denied these children access to the basic right of education. These tablets will give them the chance to go online and have access to their teacher’s Google classroom. These devices will allow them to continue learning and prevent them from falling behind. With the prospect of schools being potentially closed for the remainder of the school year, my students need all the help they can get to keep moving forward with their learning.
