My student are all from low-income households and learning English. Many have just arrived to the country and have big dreams and aspirations of becoming doctors, lawyers, and teachers. I feel great pride and honor in the small role I have to help bring them closer to their aspirations. My school is a Title I school where most students are low-income. Half of the student body is not proficient in English. Nevertheless, teachers and students strive for success and work their hardest to reach goals.
