My students attend a school in the community of Compton, CA. They are motivated and eager to learn as much as they can when they are at school as they have limited access to resources outside of school. Our school has a small limited library and only a limited classroom library. My students still love and appreciate the resources they do have. Many students come from families with no Internet access or computers. Many of my student's parents don't own vehicles to take them to the library and also have expressed to me that they have no literature at home. Therefore, perform below grade level. My students love listening and watching recorded read aloud videos on the internet. My students enjoy going to our school computer lab however we can only go twice a week for an hour. Despite their family and community hardships, my students love coming to school and trying their best each day.
