I teach reading and math to third and fourth graders in a Gifted and Talented program in Bluffton, SC. Keeping lessons new and exciting is extremely important in helping these children reach their full potential. Technology is one essential, real-life tool I use each and every day with my students... but even the same old technology gets mundane after awhile! I want to provide the kids with some new and exciting tech lessons, and in order to do that, I need some tools! I want to get an IPOD touch for the classroom. There are many educational apps for both reading and math. For the students, the idea of being able to use an IPOD touch at school is a HUGE hook and a major incentive. These children live in a technological world and every opportunity I have to use technology in my classroom, I want to grab! Please help me encourage these bright children to use technology for educational gain!
