I am high school business educator who teach with purpose.The public education system is under a microscope due to the mayhem. The mayhem includes communities issues, lack of resources,poor test scores, attendance, violence, underpaid staff, and the list goes on. The mayhem sources are broad and vast. First, the school system remained underfunded for years. The result is lack of resources to assist the students and fairly compensate teachers for their labor. I do not teach for the income but the outcome like most teachers. Secondly, teachers train extensively to prepare students for the 21st Century. However, we do not have 21st Century infrastructure in many schools. My students need the appropriate technology to teach business, finance, and workplace preparation in the 21st Century. I am seeking internships, job shadowing opportunities, field trips, and donations for 35 tablets or laptops for my classes.
