What could be more exciting than to program a robot? Because my students have little to no exposure to technology at home, school is the only place they get to experience technology. My students are ready for the next step, robotics. I always begin with a unit on digital citizenship, work with online and offline coding projects. Our school district has purchased technology for k-12 students for the next year. The next step in coding and programming is actually working with robotics. Ozobots are used in many libraries and classrooms to teaching coding and programming. I would love to have students work in groups working together with the robots. And see their programing skills at work. Arkansas has recently added computer science frameworks to k-12 curriculum. I’m excited about adding robotics to my lessons.
