These materials will make a difference in my students ability to play basketball. Everyday we have to locate the custodians to open up the PE teacher's office in order to get balls out. When we get the balls, some of them are flat and we are unable to find the pump. By having our own balls, we will be able to adequately prepare for our weekly games. The shoes will give the students the traction that they need to prevent them from injury. My students practice in shoes that they wear everyday. They slip and slide regardless of how clean the court is. This is due to the fact that they wear the shoes that they play basketball in all the time. This leads to the shoes losing traction and in turn creates shoes that are not fit to play basketball in. Having shoes that are solely for practice and games, the students will be able to play at a higher level, because they can stop and go without sliding all over the court.
