My students are sixth graders who are eager to learn but need to be engaged. They are comfortable using technology and appreciate a teacher who is as well. This year I experimented with an online learning management system, and the students really responded well. They enjoy using computers to facilitate learning and are creative in the ways they locate and share information. Our school is open to innovation, but we don't always have the monetary resources required to keep up with the latest instructional methods. The district invested in SMARTBoards for the classrooms, but the computers they are connected to have not been updated in many years. Most classrooms only have one or two computers that are up-to-date and usable.
