The community that my school library serves is a typical large city population. We are Title 1 school, meaning we have free breakfast and lunch across the board, wear uniforms and do our best to meet state standards with the resources we have available. It is difficult for many of our students to see what the future might hold if they are not exposed to the world outside of the community.
