I work in a great place with lots of talented teachers. People that go above and beyond everyday for every single student. Students that unfortunately may have not experienced much, may not have much, and are considered low income/high risk students. Some of the students that come to my classroom may not have toys of their own, clothe of their own, or even a house of their own. With a piece of furniture such as a carpet, I would be able to provide a learning space of their own. A place that they would come and sit and just have their minds broaden with knowledge. Many of the students that come through my door just want to be accepted, cared for, and loved. They are eager to learn, please and succeed. I have parents that want their children to learn so that they will be able to prosper and not have the same hardships that they had.
