My students are eager learners who LOVE to read. Our classroom has broken ground with a new reader's and writer's workshop program. In the reader's workshop program, students learn how to choose "œjust-right" books and focus on independent reading and setting goals for themselves. With iPads, the students can take accelerated reader comprehension quizzes directly in the classroom and is a great incentive for students to continue reading! In addition, my students are incredibly creative, and have a passion for technology. While not all students have access at home to computers or tablets, I hope to have these types of technological resources available in the classroom.
