Second graders love to be on the move. They are in constant motion. I firmly believe that they are learning when they are moving. The school day becomes more exciting when children are able to fidget and move in a safe manner. The chairs I requested are designed to allow students to move, wiggle, swirl and swivel while they are engaged in learning activities. Having these chairs in my classroom will create greater focus, and honor the spirit of the "on the go" student. One way the chairs will be used is for small group instruction and will help guide their focus, due to the fact that they can move their bodies, which helps engage their brain. Another use for the chairs will be to help children with ADD , the chairs are designed to settle their bodies. Finally the chair will help children with sensory needs. Thank you for your consideration. I'm confident that my students will benefit by having use of this chair.
