My students are all seniors, most of whom will go to some form of higher education. We are a suburban school in NC with a limited budget of everything. I believe students want to read, but they don't only want to read academic texts; therefore, I want to start a Sustained Silent Reading program in my class, building a library for them to use. I am excited about the possibility of putting a great book in a student's hands and watching him/her get lost in the pages!
