My students are in Special Education and most have learning disabilities in reading and writing. They started the year not liking to read and most, if not all, had never completed a novel from cover to cover in their 8 years of schooling. My school is in an extremely low socio-economic area and the district does its best but does not have a lot of extra funds to provide me with a set of classroom books.
