I teach at a large middle school with over a 1,100 diverse students in attendance. Many of the school's students struggle with the challenges of poverty, with over 70% of the population qualifying for free/reduced lunch. Our school has a large special education population and many of our students are behind several grade levels in reading and writing. Although faced with many challenges, our school nevertheless continues to search for innovative methods and materials with which to engage our students.
