Our students love to read stories that provide exercise and an education. Our entire school is dedicated to teaching to the whole child and we believe that learning doesn't stop at the classroom door. The objective of this project is to provide our students with a backpack containing the book Finklehopper Frog (a story that teaches children that we all hop to the beat of our own drummer,) a fitness journal, and exercise equipment to motivate them to read and move at home. Each child in the 2nd grade will get to keep the backpack for one week. They will be encouraged to read the story with their parents, use the exercise equipment and log their physical adventures with Finklehopper in the journal.
