I teach Business and Computer Science for grades 6 thru 8. My students are from very diverse socio-economic backgrounds and we have one of the largest special needs departments. Our computer lab is limited in the software and capabilities that students need today to understand fully what and how businesses use computers. With the BYOD now approved for schools, many of my students do not have this privilege. Having these two tablets would permit those that are without a BYOD to participate and be fully engaged in all of the classroom activities. Students need to see how a tablet can be a powerful tool in the classroom and in the real world setting.
