I am fortunate enough to serve both students and teachers, within our school. Our classrooms are full of rigor and learning; however, they are also lacking an element that can be very powerful to learning; self-reflection. Our students and teachers receive feedback from others. Parents, administration, and colleagues all share thoughts. However, neither the student nor the teacher have opportunities of self-reflection and observations of themselves. Teachers and students are required to set goals and show growth through these goals; however, the power in setting goals is diminished by the fact that many are only setting goals from others' expectations and observations. Because of this, I am requesting funding to purchase 1 ipad, a swivl with necessary accessories, and the required software and case. This equipment will be available for both staff and students to use to record lessons, teaching, and learning.
