I strive to push the rigor with my students while having fun. I have worked hard to build a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom. However, I feel like my students who have special sensory needs do not have the tools necessary to actively engage. For example, I have 3 students this year who are very active and need constant movement. I believe that the alternative seating will help transform their schooling experience. These alternative seats, educational games, and fidgets will help my diverse learners engage in school while having fun. For example, the students will be able to use the Kore Wobble Chairs, Wiggle Seats, Bouncy Bands, lap pads, and stress balls to release energy during independent work activities which will ultimately help them be successful and feel affirmed even with their learning needs. The educational games will help engage the students in a fun way. I want my students to love school and I believe that making it fun will engage them in new and exciting ways. I am excited to see my students grow. I deeply appreciate your support and generosity!
