Our students are your typical teenagers, and I wouldn't have it any other way. They are energetic and full of personality, while consistently challenging their environment. I try to create a space for them to feel comfortable challenging the rules and expectations placed on them, and still bring the conversation back around to the importance of them learning from these experiences and persevering. Many of our students do not have a strong support network at home, and as a result, their ability to trust adults in their day to day lives is a challenge. It is my hope, as an SSC, that students will feel a connection to their school and work to build up this network of adults that love and care for all 900+ students.

About my class
