Many of our students have a hard time understanding facial expressions. Making social skills movies as a group can help. All of my students receive special education services and several of them have disorders on the Autism Spectrum. Because they also tend to have fine motor concerns, the large touch screen on the iPad is very beneficial and allows them to access valuable skill-building resources via technology. Furthermore, the iPad is extremely user-friendly and has a large screen for students who need the bigger screen for motor concerns or need larger text due to vision disabilities.
