My students in a suburban high school. In order to encourage independent reading, I encourage them to read both at home and at school. My school is located in the suburbs between two major cities. My school serves students of all abilities, including below, on and above grade level readers. In addition, we have a large ESOL population and have students from over 10 countries in our school. We have students who receive services through an IEP, and receive accommodations through 504's. We also have students that participate in the Free and Reduced Meals program.
