I teach Biology and Physical Science in North Carolina. As a teacher, I work hard to maximize student engagement in my classroom not only so that students will retain content knowledge, but more importantly so that students will be inspired, passionate learners. I am currently leading a STEM Initiative in our school. I am working with colleagues across core content areas to develop cross curricular content using project based learning. It is our goal to increase rigor and relevance in an environment that nurtures healthy relationships in our learning community.
