Incorporating STEM projects into our classroom provides students with a wide range of opportunities. The materials selected for this project are essential for students to develop understanding of the math-science connection. Title I schools, such as ours, do not have the funding to purchase these hands-on STEM materials for our students. These K-Nex kits will be used in planning, designing, and building projects. This year's students will use these K-Nex building sets to create projects that will incorporate science, technology research, engineering design, and mathematics. These building sets will also be used for future students. The K-Nex sets selected are aligned with our state standards and engage all levels of learners. The process of STEM projects using these will give students a new look and idea about how exciting science and math can be. My students love science and I want to provide them with every opportunity to excel.
