Our students currently read every chance they get, including when they are finished early with an assignment, before school, or during Drop Everything and Read. They are on fire as young readers. I am a first year teacher who needs to build her library and I want to add high interest, engaging stories of famous figures who succeeded as well as those who failed to this library. I chose a selection of STEM and growth mindset books to enhance our study of these topics. My students display their growth mindset accomplishments, and I want them to see examples from history as well.
