My classroom is made up of 11 Special Education students in 4th and 5th grade. All the students in my classroom have significant disabilities that significantly impact their learning. My students face many challenges outside the safe walls of our school. In a high poverty school, motivating and encouraging students is essential, especially when all of my students are struggling learners, significantly below grade level. A dynamic group of learners enter my classroom each day, each with a unique personality and needs.
