The students at my school come from diverse backgrounds. The majority of the students are from families with a low income. Many come from challenging home situations. All my students are eager to learn. Last year as seventh graders they loved reading books and stories that portrayed societal inequality and injustice. I believe that reading "Enrique's Journey" will help them to maintain these interests.
