Our school (my classroom) has a very diverse population. I have students who live in government subsidized apartments and some who live in well-kept neighborhoods. As far as academics in my classroom, I have students who receive Special Education services, some who attend our LEAP program (for advanced students), and all types of abilities in between. I really want all my students to have opportunities to enjoy learning through technology. Currently, I have three student computers and no iPads. We do have a way to check iPads out, but the students would greatly benefit from having them in our classroom on a daily basis to assist them in their research, skill practicing, and overall exploration of the world. My students are still very excited about coming to school. Each day, I find them dancing, reading together, and just yesterday, saw two of my students just sitting together with their arms draped over each other like they have known each other for years.
