As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, I serve nearly 50 children throughout 5 schools in a large school district. The students I serve range from learning challenges where they spend the majority of the day in "regular" classrooms with support to students on the Autism spectrum and those with physical disabilities. Many of the students are non verbal trying to navigate their world in a non speaking way. They are excited about learning and want to learn, but their disability limits their access.
