I teach a vibrant, social, excited group of fifth and sixth graders. They didn't have quality math instruction the last two years, so we are cruising along, making up for what they have missed. What they have missed more than anything is the connection between math and real life! They are a multicultural group with in a moderate to low income school. They need to learn about how math will help them in the future and how they can and will use math in their lives.

About my class
