My students love reading books by authors of different genres, but now it's their turn to become authors. I teach 25 of the greatest first graders ever in a high-need school district in New York. My students come from countries across 5 continents. While there is a wide range of academic ability and learning styles, one thing is certain...they ALL have a love of reading and writing that I would love to continue nurturing.
