Digital devices have become an intricate part of the daily lives of most students. In an effort to become learners of the 21st century, my students need Chromebooks to allow them to complete daily digital assignments. They will be using these in a variety of ways across the curriculum, especially in language arts, mathematics, and science. Every day, I teach these lessons predominantly using online resources and the students follow along with personal white boards. We are encouraged to do lessons electronically to get students ready for state testing. A Chromebook for every student will enhance the learning and ensure that they are prepared for their future. Education has undergone a tremendous transformation over the years, and technology is one of the major reason for this. State testing is an important tool to gauge how well students are performing. All testing is done completely online. Daily practice with Chromebooks will allow my students to gain the confidence needed to excel in the subjects I teach electronically. When teaching children, consistency is key. Consistent practice with a Chromebook during classroom lessons will translate to a confident, serene test taker. In the words of Benjamin Franklin, "Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning." By giving the gift of technology, you will allow my students to grow and progress in their ever changing learning environment.
