If you could look inside my classroom, you would find twenty diverse authors, illustrators, scientists, readers and citizens. You would find twenty children that love to talk, love to laugh and love to play. When asked what they love about school, of course they would tell you they love P.E. and recess. You would find twenty children that are eager to learn and love to help their teacher. They are quick to raise their hand and for more than to say, "Can I go to the bathroom?" However, you would also find twenty children that deal with very adult issues. You would find children dealing with their parents on drugs or in jail. You would find some are dealing with parents that have left them and they don't understand why. You would find some that are not sure about their next meal. You would find many with parents that do not speak the same language as their teacher. You would find many dealing with so much,yet, they come to school everyday with a big smile on their face!

About my class
