Sixth, Seventh, & Eighth graders from rural Northern Michigan. Our free and reduced lunch number are over 80%. Great kids, but need to be pushed as intrinsic motivation is not as strong as it needs to be for many. Many come from single parent homes. My current classes consists of high-energy students who like school, and are close with their classmates. We have a 6, 7, 8 Jr. High structure. In the past four years, we have made significant gains in test performance, curriculum alignment, and community involvement. We have an excellent administration and a very dedicated staff.
