My students are multi-aged. I have 22 fourth and fifth grade students. They consist of students who need additional help with basic and complex math concepts. These students have common deficits, but have varying learning styles. Standardize test scores indicate that they are below average to average students. However, in my classroom, we work and think like champions. Therefore, my expectations are always high. My school is a Title One school, meaning that most of the students receive free and reduced lunch. Resources and parental support are limited, but with a determination to make learning exciting and expectations high, we will maintain a mentality of a champion.
