I have 18 students in . It is primarily a Hispanic area with financial struggles. Most of the kids came into 4th grade at least a year behind in academics. This is an important year for them to catch up and keep up. It try to keep learning busy, fun and the kids love owning their learning. They create the big projects by writing proposals and we vote on the best and most realistic one. My school is a "priority school". Five percent lowest performance in the state. Many of my kids do not have their basic needs met at home and we do all we can for them at school. I have caring, smart, loving students. I adore them and want to give them everything they need to enjoy the rest of the school year.
