The students that I work with have mild to moderate learning disabilities. They benefit socially from being in the classroom with their peers but often struggle to keep up with the pace of reading and writing their work in class. Through the use of assistive technology available on Chromebooks, these same students gain skills needed to be successful in school and life. By listening to a book or passages and speaking answers into the device, the students are able to show what they know just like all of the other students in the class. Using a device with assistive technology leads to independent work skills and an increase in confidence and a positive attitude towards learning and school.

About my class
